Cllr Ian Scott
Part of the Labour team for Filton
I am seeking re-election as a Filton South Gloucestershire Labour Councillor to continue campaigning for improvements in Filton.
I have served Filton on South Gloucestershire Council for the last 8 Years (2011-2019) having previously served on Filton Town Council (1991-1999) and (2015-2019).
I have a track record of supporting local Filton residents in campaigns to keep Filton Clinic open, to maintain opening hours at Filton Library and in opposing the closure of Filton Airfield.
Looking forward, I will continue to campaign for a new railway station at Filton North and new passenger rail services, new bus services on Filton Avenue (north side) and to campaign against the Tory Government’s cuts to local governments (90% cut to revenue support grant over 7 year period) resulting in cuts in services despite council tax rises.
